The Invitation
Calling for a New Teammate:
Recruiters Mentality
“ (Target Market Name), this is   (Your Name), how are you? I’m calling because we have a mutual friend in (New Name), and he/she recently joined our firm. While we were reviewing his/her business plan, your name was mentioned. I promised I’d give you a call today, so we could run a business idea by you. Okay?”
Calling for an Existing Teammate:
“ (Target Market Name), this is   (Your Name), how are you? I’m calling because we have a mutual friend in (New Name), and he/she and I are in business together. Recently, while we were reviewing his/her business plan, your name was mentioned. I promised I’d give you a call today, so we could run a business idea by you. Okay?”
Calling with a Teammate:
“ (Referral), this is (Trainer). I am on the phone with   (Associate) and he/she recently joined our firm. Say hi, (Teammate). (Establish friendly link and new associate edifies trainer.) Recently while we were reviewing his/her business plan, your name was mentioned. I promised I’d give you a call today so we could run a business idea by you. Okay?”
Invitation Script Follow-Up:
1. Invite a prospect or client. (Include spouses, refer to invitation tracts.)
2. Call your leader and tell him/her that you have someone coming to the meeting and give him/her their name and occupation.
3. One to two days before the meeting, follow up with a phone call to confirm the guest’s attendance. Tell him/her:
“ Hi   this is   with Hegemon Group International. I’m calling to confirm our getting together tomorrow night for tech meeting and also, to let you know that you can bring interested contacts with you if you desire. I have told my Marketing Director that you are coming. He is looking forward to meeting you and has reserved special seats for you and your spouse.
“ I’m excited about getting together with you. I’ll pick you up at 6:30 P.M. (or 9:00 A.M. for Saturday morning meetings). Remember, you’ll want to dress for a business meeting.”
