Leadership Format School Dynamics (Continued)
One of the main responsibilities of an HGI Leader is to coordinate and run high-powered
Leadership Format Schools. These are the keys to running successful Leadership Format Schools:
1. Hold these meetings every six to eight weeks locally.
2. Provide only company-approved handouts and training materials for key LFS topics.
3. Provide name badges during registration for the event (and write first names in large letters). 4. Use motivational walk-in music (pre-and post-meeting and during breaks).
5. Use high-powered motivational banners.
6. Use the latest HGI company image video(s) to add even more excitement to your meetings. 7. Pre-sell tickets through all offices participating in the event.
8. Encourage all leaders to stay at the hotel.
9. Build a team environment to recruit and move people – MoZone!
10. Make sure all speakers are always enthusiastic, always fast-moving and limited to short time frames (five, 10, 15, 20 or no longer than 30 minutes, unless it’s a big-time superstar who can hold audience’s attention). In addition, all speakers should be well prepared and focused on the subject assigned.
11. Use your best local talent and hottest local Leaders to headline your school, in addition to guest speakers, when possible.
Speaker Resources:
• HGI will operate like a speakers bureau to coordinate all guest speakers.
• Top area Leaders will serve as the hub for speakers on a local level.
12. Harness the power of new up-and-coming stars.
13. Conduct advanced leadership sessions for experienced veterans in conjunction with LFS.
14. The emcee should be very dynamic, knowledgeable, and entertaining with ability to fill-in-the-gaps left by any of the speakers and enhance their message, as well as be prepared to really build up the speakers with powerful introductions.
