CPC – Constant Personal Communication
The great legends of the past have always mastered the art of communication to large groups of people at all levels. They worked with every leader as if they were first generation to them. They held big events to give major recognition; they mastered the art of personal letters, newsletters, monthly leaders bulletins and conference calls. They made the commitment to go and visit their leaders locally on a regular basis. They understood that Constant Personal Communication was critical to their success.
To be a legend of the future, you must implement this same type of dynamic communication throughout your team.
Communicate – Communicate – Communicate
There are three types of communication you need to have with your leaders:
• Constant Personal Motivation
Give praise when someone does well. Encourage when someone is “down.”
• Constant Personal Information
Everyone loves good news - share it.
• Constant Personal Education
Share recruiting, building and sales techniques. People must have the “know how.”
Communication is the key to growing a giant team. You must work to build a giant “irrigation” system so that the information gets to every single person on your team. General Patton’s tank army was much more powerful than the traditional foot soldier army, but it presented a whole new set of challenges.
The traditional foot soldier could get by on C rations and water. But the tanks needed fuel and lots of it. They thrived on “high octane,” and could not move an inch without it. It was never easy managing the constant delivery of fuel to a moving army, but in the end, it was worth it. The tank army was so powerful it devastated the enemy.
You must make sure your leaders have the high-octane motivation and constant communication they need to build their business.
