Running the RMD Factory (Continued)
How to Lead your RMD Factory from a Local
Start-up Operation to National Superstar Status
• You can’t make excuses when you’re playing bad. You have to make corrections, no alibis.
• Never let your people down. Commit to be there to help lead them through the tough times.
• It should never be too tough for you – it was common for Hubert to travel 5,000 miles in one week during his field era.
• As the leader, you can’t have a bad day. Everybody is counting on you.
• When you get to a meeting, the light must turn on!
• Super team leaders must be as fresh today as they were when they joined the company.
• You must be the hardest working, most energized leader on your team.
• The business must be fun. Work hard, play hard.
• Don’t let the money change you. Remember where you came from and stay true to yourself.
• Not everybody on your team will like you and you won’t necessarily like everybody on your team, but
they should never know it. (You always should love them all, even if you don’t like something about them.)
• You need to have the toughest hide in the business.
• It’s not where you are from, or where you are, but where you’re going that counts. • Be driven by one-third enjoyment and love, one-third ego, and one-third financial. • You must never be satisfied!
• You should want to prove to yourself you can get better every year!
