Recruiters Mentality
There are numerous methods you can use in the Approach/Contact phase. One of the most effective methods has always been the one-on-one phone invitation.
The Invitation Script
Be positive.
1. Market the opportunity.
“Hi_______, this is ___________.” (brief small talk)
“___________, I’m involved with an exciting new company that is doing some revolutionary things in the financial and real estate industry. You really need to take a look at this...
“This business is giving me a chance to do many of the things I've always dreamed of doing, such as...” (use four to five of your goals and dreams here)
• start making my dreams come true • have an option on whether or not my spouse needs
2. Get their attention. You are serious.
3. Don’t start answering questions.
4. Explain why & stayincontrol.
5. Nail down the date.
6. No decisions will be asked for that night.
7. Pick them up.
“But_________, I’ve never really had the chance to talk to you about these kinds of things. Would any of these be important to you?” [Wait for Answer (WFA) e.g. “Sure, but what is it?”
“____________, I don’t have time to get too far into this over the phone right now, but you really need to see this opportunity.”
(WFA, usually yes)
“The name of the company is Hegemon Group International. It’s a new marketing company just beginning its expansion here in the area, and it has tremendous income potential. I’m not going to try to explain it all to you now for a couple of reasons:
• “I’vejustgottenstarted,andIdon’tknowhowtoexplainitall.Youneedtohearitfromanexpert.” • “IttakesaboutanhourtogiveacompleteoverviewandIdon’thaveanhourrightnow.”
• “Therearesomethingsyouhavetoseevisuallyforittomakesense,andweobviouslycan’tdothat
over the phone.”
“We’re overviewing the company’s business plan on ____________, and again on ___________. Which of those times would be best for you?” (Be firm, be positive, wait for answer.)
“By the way, the purpose of the presentation is simply to provide people with an introduction to the company. If you want to look into it further, there will be more information about the company available at the end of the presentation for you to review. No one will be asking you to make a decision about it at that time ...
Fair enough?” (WFA)
“____________, this will also give us a chance to spend some time together. I’ll pick you up, and you can tell me what you think on the way home.” (SAY THANK YOU AND HANG UP!!!! YOU ARE DONE.)
