Alexander’s Technique in the Face of Danger – The Essence of a Do It First Leader

2. Then, he addressed his men - sometimes his whole army, sometimes only the officers.
3.Finally, when the light troops followed by the Companion Cavalry had made touch with the enemy’s line, Alexander charged into battle.
4.At that moment his power to command the battle passed from him.
5.He lost sight of the line.
6.He lost all means to send orders.
7.He could think only of saving his own life and taking that of as many of the enemy as put themselves within reach of his sword-arm.
8.But the knowledge that he was risking his life with theirs was enough to ensure that the whole army, from that moment onwards, fought with an energy equal to his.
9.Total exposure to risk was his secret to total victory.
